After dropping Meera and the twins home, Ekaksh drove toward his office. The road ahead was clear, yet his mind was anything but calm. Thoughts crowded his head relentlessly, one after another, refusing to let him breathe in peace. A strange heaviness settled in his chest, while an uneasy feeling twisted in the pit of his stomach—as if something unpleasant was waiting just beyond the horizon.
